Fletcher is a card-carrying member of the Clean Plate Club. And he thinks it’s his job to personally clean everyone else’s plate, too.
We feed the three dogs in three bowls. Fletcher (above, on the right) is the fastest eater. So he finishes, and then he helps Okra (not pictured) finish her bowl. And then, he very patiently (and very closely) waits for Milly (above, on the left) to finish her food. I imagine their conversation going something like this:
F: Are you done yet?
M: No, get away from me.
F: But are you gonna eat all that?
M: Really, dude. Let me eat in peace!
F: So when you’re done, just let me know. I’m happy to finish up for you.
M: Get. Out. Of. My. Face.
F: I’m not touching youuuuuu….are you done yet?
M: Sigh. I give up.
As soon as Milly is annoyed enough to abandon her bowl, Fletcher dives into the leftover kibble and in one big inhale the bowl is suddenly clean.
Hilarious to watch it all unfold! A total big sister/little brother moment that takes me back to the backseat of the Toyota Corolla station wagon!
We have a cat like that!
