Yes ma’am, we’ve got drywall!! Thanks to Ben and Tyler’s tireless work, the house is suddenly feeling a lot more liveable! I was thrilled to see the entire second floor clad in drywall and a first coat of mud!

The green walls are the new bathroom on the second floor. It provides our bedroom some privacy from the stairwell.

And a few days later, all the ceilings on the first floor have drywall and mud, too. These two guys are amazing!!

Above, you also see the new beam they crafted to take the place of the wall between what was a bedroom (soon to be our dining area) and the living room. Eventually, we will wrap it in barn wood.

With all the sanding going on and dust flying, Ben had decided he needed to move out. He is now storing all his clothes and his bed in a tent in the yard. Hopefully, all the sanding will be done by moving day, because I really prefer to sleep inside in our bed when we aren’t visiting some far-flug place.

Keep up the good work, guys! Just a few more walls to go and a few more nails to pull…
