First things first, especially with Lacey’s tendency to over-hydrate and the resulting need to pee every hour or so. Not to mention the extreme desire to wash your hands when working in an old and long-empty house!

The house had been winterized, meaning the water shut off and the pipes emptied to avoid any frozen and broken pipes. Ben is not a plumber. But Google and YouTube are our close friends who often lend advice.

Here’s the result:

There was one broken pipe—the water supply to the washing machine. But Ben was able to easily clamp it off and will replace that bit of pipe.
