I’m so so soooo excited about all the progress in the first floor bath! I just have to share some images with you!
Above, the cameraman is standing where the sink will be, with his back to the window, looking into the shower. The floor plan below will help you orient yourself. The shower is the width of the room, with a six-foot-tall tile wall separating the shower from the rest of the room. There is a bench at each end of the shower stall and here you are looking into the opening where you would walk into the shower and you see the back wall of the shower. The wall on the right, in the foreground, is the free-standing six-foot-tall wall. You also see a bit of Jeff, our bath builder and tile exert. He is amazing!
Below is a detail of the tile you see installed above (if you will remember, this is another amazing and extremely heavy ReStore purchase). It is a gray/white tile version of wood grain. So gorgeous! And I’m in love with how Jeff decided to lay the tile so the pattern is reminiscent of a wood floor.
And here’s a look at the vintage-looking hexagonal tile on the floor:
The photo above is taken from just inside the bath’s doorway. You can see where the original wall was located (purple stripe) and the blue arrows marking the placement of the new wall.
This image is from the doorway, looking straight ahead. On the right, you see the shower wall and a bit of the opening and edge of the bench.
There’s still some tile to go in and all the grout and finish work yet to do, but I’m thrilled with the progress in this room! Getting closer every day!
